In the Grand Manner Part Two.

One of the first times I heard of Peter Gilder was when I was reading an early Military Modelling struggling over the Charles Grant articles about Napoleonic Wargaming. The series was illustrated by small black and white images of wonderful wargaming terrain created by... a Peter Gilder. And I was hooked. That is exactly what I wanted, beautifully sculpted model terrain like this man.

  1. What you are doing here Robbie is a very important and worthwhile record of a significant slice of wargames heritage. Gilder's take in Part Two on reducing a historic battlefield to sensible scale size and degree of detail is a mini masterclass everyone should read. Thank you very much, keep up the good work. Looking forward to Part 3!

    1. Thanks Chris, I really think Peter Gilder deserves some sort of digital record. His contribution was important, well for me it was.

  2. I agree with Chris, and you of course. He was one of the keystones of the hobby.
